Meet Dr. Eric Russell

For nearly 30 years, Dr. Eric Russell has dedicated his life to the philosophy, science,

art and business of chiropractic. His journey began at Palmer College of Chiropractic,

where he earned both his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Chiropractic degrees—and

where a deep curiosity for the principles of the philosophy of chiropractic would shape

the rest of his career.

Since then, Dr. Russell has worn many hats: author, practitioner, professor, college president, and global speaker.

He’s served as President of the New Zealand College of Chiropractic, Department Chair of Chiropractic Sciences and Dean of Students Engagement at Parker

University, and Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs at Life University. Most recently, he led the philosophy stream as Unit Coordinator at the

Australian Chiropractic College. His leadership in these roles has influenced thousands

of students and helped shape chiropractic education worldwide.

Dr. Russell was the first Diplomate of Philosophical Chiropractic Standards (DPhCS)

ever to lead a chiropractic college. In 2023, he was recognized as a Fellow Philosopher

of Chiropractic (FPhC)—a testament to his lifelong dedication to advancing chiropractic

thought. His career includes more than 15 years in private practice, and today he

continues to serve patients at Purely Chiropractic in Asheville, NC.

Across his decades in practice and education, Dr. Russell has received some of the

profession’s highest honors, including Chiropractor of the Year in both Illinois and Texas,

Faculty of the Year at Parker University, and induction into Palmer College’s Great Hall

of Philosophers and Hall of Presidents. He’s been invited to speak around the

world—from the U.S. and New Zealand to South America and Europe—always with the

same message: chiropractic works because life is intelligent, and health occurs from

above-down and inside out.

Today, Dr. Russell shares that message through his practice, his podcast, The Dr. Eric

Russell Show and his upcoming educational programs. His mission is simple but

profound: to help chiropractors think differently, serve more powerfully, and remember

their “why”.
